Cartoon shows has been a part of our childhood days, it catered fun and joy to every child who's watching it and I guess some of the greatest cartoon shows are famous because of the dog cartoon stars. So let's see who among the dog characters are in the list that you could still remember;



Scooby-Doo

  • Scoobert "Scooby" Doo is the star in the cartoon series Scooby-Doo. This animated series was created by Hanna-Barbera, an American animation company.
  • Scooby-Doo is a male Great Dane dog.
  • This dog has been a lifelong best partner of Shaggy Rogers in their journey toward a funny epic horror-suspense world.

Scrappy Doo

  • Scrappy Cornelius Doo is also a creation of Hanna-Barbera and appeared many times in Scooby Doo series.
  • He's a funny-brave puppy and a nephew of Scooby Doo.
  • Scrappy Doo is also a Great Dane pup.

Droopy

  • Droopy is an American animated cartoon produced by MGM Cartoon Studio, in 1943.
  • He's famous with his droopy face (Obviously, he was named Droopy).
  • Droopy's breed has never been defined however the dog's breed can either be Basset Hound or a Beagle.
Goofy

  • Goofy was created in 1932 by Walt Disney Production.
  • He is a funny and extremely clumsy dog but sometimes Goofy represents an intuitive and clever in his own unique way.
  • Goofy is a good friend of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
  • Some says that Goofy is either a Coonhound or a Basset Hound.

Pluto

  • Pluto or Pluto the pup was created by the Walt Disney Production in 1930.
  • Pluto is a great companion of Mickey Mouse.
  • He appeared in 89 short films in totality, from 1930-1953 and some of the films were nominated for an Academy Award.
  • He is officially a Mix-breed dog.

Snoopy

  • Snoopy is a dog character in one of the most famous comic strips in the globe, Peanuts.  This was created by Charles M. Schulz.
  • Snoopy made his first appearance in the comic strip way back October 4, 1950.
  • Schulz was originally to call him Sniffy.
  • Snoopy is a Beagle.


Huckleberry Hound

  • Huckleberry Hound is a creation of Hanna-Barbera and first appeared in 1958.
  • He was known in singing the inaccurate rendition of the song entitled "Oh My Darling, Clementine"
  • Most Cartoon aficionados agree that this dog is a Southern Coon Hound.

Blue

  • The show was first premiered last September 8, 1996.
  • Blue is the pet of Steven Burns. 


Astro

  • He is a pet of the Jetson's family and George Jetson is his best bud.
  • Astro's signature expression was "Ruh-roh!"
  • Astro was more advanced than present-day dogs, since he lives in a high-end technology society.
  • This dog is said to be a Great Dane.


Courage

  • Courage is a character in an American animated cartoon series Courage the Cowardly Dog airing in Cartoon Network. He was created by John R. Dilworth.
  • He is a funny-coward canine living with his owners, Muriel and Mustace Bagge, in the "Middle of Nowhere"
  • According to Wikipedia, As of November 14, 2011, Courage the Cowardly Dog is currently the last original Cartoon to still be airing in reruns on Cartoon Network.
  • He has an unknown breed.
